I was briefly in Reno, Nevada in 1997 and took a day trip to Lake Tahoe. It is recognized as one of the most beautiful lakes in the United States. Of course, it is huge. It is the sixth largest lake in the U.S., right behind Lake Erie. I have actually visited, and rode a boat on, Lake Erie. While Lake Erie is over three times larger, Lake Tahoe is up to eight times deeper. [courtesy of Wikipedia] Interesting bit of trivia. I was able to get these scenic photos while enjoying the natural beauty of this wonderful landmark.
